A team from BAE Systems Submarine Solutions is well on the way to raising £2,500 for charity after a successful 2009 Race for Life.
More than 50 employees and friends have so far raised £2,224 for Cancer Research UK after completing the 5km Race for Life run around Barrow’s Parkview School and Barrow Park.
And with time left still to sponsor the participants, the team is hopeful of reaching its target of £2,500.
Members of the team all wore personalised T-shirts with a competition held to determine the best one. Louise Ryan won first place, with Caroline Houston runner-up.
