Hawcoat Park Sports and Social Club

Hawcoat Park Sports and Social Club is the biggest community sports facility in the area. It also boasts some of the finest pitches in the north west.

Sports include archery, badminton, bowls, cricket, rifle/pistol shooting, road running, rugby, football, tennis and table tennis. There’s also a snooker table, pool table and a big screen TV in the clubhouse, not to mention very competitive bar prices for social members.

The Park Leisure Centre

Set in the attractive grounds of Barrow Park, the Park Leisure Centre has two heated pools - one’s a 25m, six lane deck pool, ranging in depth from 0.9m to 2.0m, while the other has a wave machine, water cannons and an exciting 20m slide.

There’s also the newly-refurbished Planet Pulse Fitness Centre, an all-weather floodlit pitch, climbing wall and sports hall. Barrow’s Amateur, Long Distance and Triathlon Swimming Clubs also train here. For more information visit www.theparkleisurecentre.com
