The long and winding road
Some of the thousands of competitors attempt the Keswick to Barrow Walk against the stunning backdrop of Thirlmere.
Strong winds and heavy rain failed to dampen the spirits of the thousands of entrants who took part in this year's Keswick to Barrow Walk.
In a record turnout, more than 2,300 entered the gruelling 43rd, 40-mile charity trek, which takes walkers through the Lake District before finishing in Barrow-in-Furness.
Waterproof clothing was the order of the day to protect against the rain and hail, though some chose fancy dress with the odd superhero spotted along the route!
Organisers hope this year's Keswick to Barrow Walk will raise around £230,000 for charity.
Though the majority chose to walk, some decided to run with Harry Stainton the first over the finishing line in a tremendous time of 4:56:09. In total, just over 1,900 finished the walk.
