I started here as an apprentice 36 years ago and now I ensure all management and staff have a development framework in place to support individual development requirements.

Often, people do not realise their potential. I help them to release it. We are here to mould the management team of tomorrow and have so much to offer - from a variety of training programmes, whether it be a degree or a diploma, we provide all the support and tools to steer people in the direction they want to go.

The people in Barrow are second to none - the area has had its challenges over the years but it is really a great place to live and work. Everyone pulls together and we are lucky to have such a sense of community. I really can say that I live in the most beautiful area in Britain - being on the edge of the Lake District is just fantastic.
